How can we design better science museum experiences for 15–25-year-olds?
In this episode of The SciComm Collective, Master of Science Communication student Avantika chats with Dr Lisa Bailey, Director of the Museum of Discovery (MOD.) in South Australia, about informal science communication and the importance of engaging young people with science beyond the classroom.
They explore what makes MOD. different from a traditional science museum, why the organisation designs experiences specifically for 15–25-year-olds, and the importance of giving young people a voice through initiatives like the MOD. Youth Board. Lisa also shares her reflections on what makes science communication meaningful and memorable, and what excites her about its future.
